Statement by Nathalie Rayes, Latino Victory Fund President and CEO:
“Electing more Latinos to state legislatures and municipalities is a key step to building political power for the Latino community and developing a pipeline of future Latino national political leaders. State legislatures are where decisions that impact our daily lives are made, and the Latino community needs more voices in these offices to fight for issues that affect us most. Latinos hold just 2 percent of elected office nationwide, so it’s imperative to continue investing in state House and Senate races every election year to increase Latino representation in state capitols across the country. Latino Victory Fund is proud to endorse these candidates because they’re experienced community leaders with proven track records, and they’re committed to working hard for their constituents.”
