Mayor Sylvester Turner Will Offer His Vision for Houston’s Future in State of the City 2022

Mayor Sylvester Turner will deliver his seventh annual message at this year’s State of the City event, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Hilton Americas-Houston Grand Ballroom.
Mayor Turner will offer his candid insight on opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for Houston as he addresses the theme “Bridge to the Future” before an audience of Houston’s business and community leaders. Mayor Turner will share his vision for Houston as he updates a number of city initiatives, including One Safe Houston, Complete Communities, Resilient Houston, and the innovative public/private partnerships that promote economic development and enhance quality of life.
“We have proven time and again that by working together, Houston can turn obstacles into opportunities and inspire new possibilities that change the world for good. I look forward to sharing my thoughts on some of our toughest challenges, the many things we have to celebrate, as well as outline my priorities for this great city in the days ahead,” said Mayor Turner.
Elizabeth Gonzalez Brock, Vice President, Energy Solutions and Business Services, CenterPoint Energy and Cindy Clifford, President, The Clifford Group, are again serving as co-chairs.
For the second year, Houston First Corporation will host and produce the event. The local government corporation is responsible for promoting the nation’s fourth largest and most diverse City as a destination rich with cultural experiences and economic opportunities.
