Fort Bend County Judge KP George will hold a 21st remembrance ceremony to commemorate and honor the sacrifices of first responders and victims of the attacks on September 11, 2001, on Friday, September 9, at the Historic Fort Bend County Courthouse located at 401 Jackson St., Richmond, TX 77469 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

During the annual remembrance ceremony, Judge George will recognize Fort Bend County resident and retired NYPD Police Sergeant Fabian Rojas Jr., who served as a First Responder performing security, search, and rescue at Ground Zero after the attack on the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York.

We lost over 2,700 people during the cowardly terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.,” stated Fort Bend County Judge KP George. “Every year we come together to remind the community and the world that we will never forget this tragic time in American History.”

Law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS crews from across the county have been invited to participate in the ceremony.
