Mayor's Adult Literacy Breakfast and Signature Fundraiser Will Celebrate Honorees

The Mayor’s Office for Adult Literacy and the Houston Public Library will host the Mayor’s Literacy Breakfast: A Salute to Adult Literacy. The event will recognize Houston Astros Manager Dusty Baker as the honorary chair for adult literacy and recognize event honorees Margaret Doughty, Barbara Bush Houston Foundation and the CITGO Corporation. We will hear from learners and educators as we celebrate the success of the Mayor’s Office of Adult Literacy and recognize an individual, local institution and a corporation for their contributions to improving literacy.
The event will be Tuesday, September 15, 2022, at 7 a.m. at the Houston Public Library, Julia Ideson Building.
