Last night, Comcast and Black Experience on Xfinity commemorated Black History Month, by celebrating the powerful, newly released three-part docuseries The Black Beauty Effect, at Spring Place in New York City. The chic private dinner featured a candid conversation around the evolution of Black beauty, led by some of the biggest influencers, talent, and experts in the beauty industry.
The night kicked off with a cocktail hour, prior to the intimate seated dinner. As guests dined in chic decor, Executive Producer and Founder of FaceForward Productions CJ Faison and Skai Blue Media Founder Rakia Reynolds took the stage for a candid conversation on the evolution of Black Beauty, while showcasing prominent clips from the docuseries. Former Beauty & Cover Director, Essence Magazine Mikki Taylor was asked to share a few words from her seat about her participation in the documentary and gave a moving speech about the evolution of Black beauty and why it is important to continue the conversation and education on the topic.
