D.E.C.F. Hosts Annual Scholarship Fundraiser "Carnivale Mystique-Mardi Gras Gala" Let the Good Times Roll!

The Delta Education and Charitable Foundation (D.E.C.F.) will again host their annual scholarship fundraiser this year, “Carnivale Mystique-Mardi Gras Gala” on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 at the Houston Marriott Westchase Hotel.

Over thirty years ago in 1992, D.E.C.F. was organized, out of a need, for more charitable and educational services and has assisted hundreds of young men and women with funding literacy programs, STEM activities, cultural enrichment programs as well as physical & mental programs. They have continually provided need-based scholarships to senior high school students in the greater Houston area.

“We are excited and confident that the Houston community will join us for a celebrative evening and will give their best to help support our scholarships and programs”, said Pamela Cashaw, President of DECF. Entertainment will include: the New Orleans Hustlers Brass Band, Zulu Tramps, TJ Tha, the Disc Jockey; line dancing, two step and New Orleans Zydeco contests will also be featured.

Corporations, community organizations and other individuals can support this community endeavor by contributing as a sponsor for the event. Sponsor Levels include: Diamond Level - $5,000; Gold Level- $3,000; Silver Level- $2,000; Bronze Level-$500; Carnivale VIP Level- $1,200; Krewe Level- $250; and Individual Tickets are $75. Vendors are also encouraged to secure space to display and sell their products. All donations are tax deductible.

DECF’s “Carnivale Mystique” fundraiser is always a well-attended, fun-filled event enjoyed by hundreds of attendees for a worthy cause, to help raise funds for students attending college and for DECF’s community-based programs.
