It’s the dawn of a new era for sports lovers in the Dallas area as the Texas Arena League (TAL) announced its 2023 season will continue at Legends Polo Club Feb 24-26.

Returning for its sixth year, TAL brings arena polo to the next level, both in competition and fanfare. Coining the term ‘Hockey on Horseback”, players use their mounts to move an opponent away from the ball and use the rebound walls to play angles and make passes to their teammates. It's fast, it's physical and reaction times are quick. Teams are made up of three pairs of human and equine players, while games are played over four periods or "chukkers" lasting seven and a half minutes each, including time in between to change mounts and a half time to smooth the arena.

“This is a big year for Texas Arena League and as we continue to grow in popularity across the state, it’s imperative that we bring on the best and brightest equestrian facilities into our lineup to further meet the demands of our players and fans,” said Robin Sanchez, member of the TAL committee. “This event is going to be one for the books, whether you’re a seasoned polo fan or are looking to join as a spectator for the first time.”
