Hosea Helps, Inc., continuing the legacy of the late Hosea Williams Sr., plans to celebrate the ending of a safe and fun summer with a grand sized education focused festival. Hosting their 17th Annual Back 2 School Jamboree on Saturday, July 15th, 2023, Hosea Helps returns to the Georgia International Convention Center 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA 30337 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, and to their roots with services and activities for the children alongside its drive-through giveaway for Georgia’s families. As they continue with their 5th decade of service, Hosea’s Back to School event will be another historic moment for the organization as they continue their partnership with Amazon to equip the less fortunate and low income communities with educational and everyday necessities. Hosea Helps is ecstatic to have Amazon’s constant support as the organization continues to fight the war on equal education, homelessness, food insecurity, and inflated housing costs. So with great pride they announce that this is the second Back to School Jamboree that will be powered by Amazon.

"Nothing is more important today than the empowerment of children struggling in school due to homelessness and poverty. We must do whatever we can to give them a hand-up in school this year. Many of these children are still recovering from the pandemic's horrific effects on their education. The goal of Hosea Helps 17th Annual Back to School Jamboree on July 15, 2023: is to provide resources and encouragement to these families by meeting their basic needs, including food, financial assistance, Bookbags, and school supplies. Your help is needed to purchase book bags and school supplies. You can give at our website, 4hosea.org, or through our cash app $Hosea Helps. The need is great, and we have the resources to help. It is a MUST that we support those in need. If you want to be a vendor, bring information or supplies, email us at yfavors@4hosea.org. Now is the time." says Mrs. Elisabeth Omilami, CEO of Hosea Helps.

Hosea Helps with the aid of Amazon have dedicated this event to restoring hope and faith for a better tomorrow and future for Atlanta’s youth and community. This year’s event is special because not only will Footlocker donate shoes for the youth that are registered through 4Hosea.org and health care services will be provided; but Hosea Helps will also host a live petting zoo for the children in attendance.

In addition to food and school supplies, Hosea Helps is also looking to provide clothing to families who are experiencing extreme hardships and need a little more assistance in providing for their children. The mission this year is to equip at least 2,000 youth with the proper necessities to achieve a promising academic year. Donations of $125 are graciously accepted to purchase and fill backpacks for Atlanta’s youth.

This year’s sponsors include: Amazon, V103, GICC, Footlocker Atlanta, Publix and Kroger.

“Amazon strives to not only be a good employer, but also a good neighbor in every community we operate in,” said Terreta Rodgers, Amazon’s Head of Community Affairs in the Atlanta Region. “We are excited to continue supporting Hosea Helps’ efforts to address students’ basic and immediate needs like food, shelter, clothing, and school supplies for the start of the new school year."

All giveaway items will be provided while supplies last. Donations and event sponsors are graciously accepted for this event. We want to see the entire community there!
