75th Anniversary Walk to Cure Arthritis Houston Set

The Arthritis Foundation is celebrating its 75th anniversary at the Walk to Cure Arthritis in Houston on May 6, 2023. With a cake big enough to feed hundreds, walkers, donors, arthritis warriors, and many others will gather to honor the 1.2 million Houstonians who suffer from arthritis and the important work that the Arthritis Foundation does to serve them.
The Walk to Cure Arthritis is the foundation’s flagship event, bringing together Arthritis Warriors and their loved ones, family, and friends to walk for a cure. Held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, in beautiful downtown Houston, the walk begins at Fish Plaza in front of the exquisitely restored Wortham Center and winds around Buffalo Bayou Trail for a 5K route complete with entertainment, water stops, picturesque scenery and photo opportunities, and helpful volunteers. A one-mile loop is also available.
“This year’s Walk to Cure Arthritis event is especially exciting for two reasons. One, we get to celebrate the amazing work that the foundation has done over the past 75 years, and we get to honor those of us in our community who suffer from this disease.”, says Kristen Stubbs, Executive Director – Houston.
“The theme for this family and dog friendly event is Rock the Walk and is aimed at celebrating and honoring our loved ones who are the “rocks” in our lives. Funds raised through donations support important arthritis research and patient programs and services and anyone who donates or raises $100 or more gets a cool Rock the Walk t-shirt!”, continues Stubbs.
