The Women’s Fund for Health Education and Resiliency, a nonprofit providing Houston-area women and girls with the tools needed to be advocates for their health, is hosting the annual Spring Membership Luncheon at Tony’s on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.

During the luncheon, The Women’s Fund will announce the winners of the 8th Annual Barbara Devetski Scholarship Essay Contest. Two college-bound, graduating high school senior girls will each receive a $2,500 scholarship towards tuition for the 2023 fall semester.

The luncheon will feature a presentation by Dr. Juliet Breeze, founder and CEO of Next Level Medical, on “Know Where To Go: Good Medical Decisions For You and Your Family”.

Dr. Breeze graduated from Northwestern University and earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. After working in family practice for several years, she moved her focus to the business of medicine. As a serial entrepreneur, she developed several large group medical practices, two private hospitals, and two surgery centers. Dr. Breeze has also served on the Board of Directors of several healthcare tech start-up companies. Currently, she is vice-president of Vantage Hospice and the founder and CEO of Next Level Medical. Through Next Level, her commitment to cost-effective, accessible medical care has led her to launch Next Level PRIME an innovative model of direct primary and urgent care throughout Texas.

She has been honored to be a 2022 recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. She has also been named a “Most Admired CEO” by the Houston Business Journal and one of Houston’s Top 30 Influential Women by D-Mars.com. She currently serves as the Chair of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas.

Members of The Women’s Fund can enjoy the membership luncheon for $35 and non-members for $50.
