Earning a college degree is a challenging task. Earning a degree during a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic makes this statement even more valid.

For more than 1,000 students who will walk across the stage this Saturday, May 13, at Prairie View A&M University’s 141st Spring Commencement Convocation, they proved they prevailed.

Here is a short list of this semester’s most notable grads:

Zian Richmond is a criminal justice major from Fort Worth, Texas, who graduates a year early. She is headed to law school.

Jordan Poston is “Mr. Senior” from Dallas, who's headed to work at a Fortune Global 500 company.

Morgan Redd is a Houston native headed to MD Anderson Cancer Center as an oncology stem cell transplant nurse.

Erron Williams is also a Houston native. He received this year's Black Engineer of the Year Award for Undergraduate Student Leadership at the 2023 BEYA STEM Conference, a national event.

Elizabeth Jean Brumfield is a doctoral candidate and a part of PVAMU's largest graduating class of doctoral students this semester. She also works at PVAMU as a librarian.

Other outstanding graduates are located here.
