Today, Visit Lake Charles, the official destination marketing organization for Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana, announces the promotion of Toni Chapman to the position of Digital Content Manager and welcomes Madison Yates as Destination Services Specialist.

“Toni has become a valuable member of the Visit Lake Charles team,” said Visit Lake Charles President/CEO Kyle Edmiston. “We are thrilled to be able to promote her to this new position and look forward to welcoming Madison to our talented team of tourism professionals.”

Toni Chapman – Digital Content Manager

As Digital Content Manager, Chapman will spearhead the management of digital channels, ensuring innovation and exceptional user experiences. Additionally, she will coordinate digital and website projects with partners and stakeholders, highlighting the best of what Southwest Louisiana offers.

Chapman said her new position is near and dear to her heart as she first came to Visit Lake Charles after becoming interested in the social media content shared online by the organization. Chapman joined Visit Lake Charles in February 2023 as a Destination Services Specialist.

“Being in this role is a full circle moment because I will produce the same content that put Visit Lake Charles on my radar,” said Chapman. “I’m glad to continue promoting all there is to experience in Louisiana’s Playground.”

Chapman is a Lake Charles native, proud mom of three, and McNeese State University graduate with a degree in mass communication with a concentration in public relations and an Associate of General Studies with a focus in arts and humanities.

Madison Yates – Destination Services Specialist

Yates, a McNeese State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, worked at Bayou Technologies as a business development representative, where she excelled in generating sales opportunities and building professional relationships.

In her new role, Yates will coordinate services for visiting groups, such as providing welcome packages and arranging appearances by Gumbeaux Gator and the Mardi Gras Revelers. She will also lead partner education and training through Destination SWLA and facilitate welcome addresses for groups from local dignitaries and elected officials.

“Madison’s role is vital to the work we do at Visit Lake Charles,” said Visit Lake Charles Vice President of Sales Taylor Beard Stanley. “She will ensure our destination makes a lasting impression on our guests.”
