Comcast RISE Program Offers Small Business Grants in Houston and Four Other Cities

Business support will include a total of $500,000 in grants plus computer equipment, advertising and business consulting and education

Comcast's Comcast RISE program is offering grants to small businesses in Houston and four other cities

Comcast has announced that Houston is among five cities selected for its renowned Comcast RISE program, offering eligible small businesses the chance to receive business support grants. The program will distribute a total of $500,000 in grants, along with technology makeovers, marketing assistance, media placements, coaching sessions, and educational support.

From May 1 to May 31, small businesses in Houston, Atlanta, GA, Southern Colorado, Jacksonville, FL, and Richmond, VA can apply for a grant package at www.ComcastRISE.com. Each city will award grants to 100 businesses, totaling 500 across all cities. The grant package includes:

  • Coaching Sessions: General business assessments and coaching to provide recommendations for growth.
  • Education Resources: 12-month access to online entrepreneurship courses and resources.
  • Monetary Grant: A $5,000 grant.
  • Creative Production & Media: Production of a 30-second TV commercial, media strategy consultation, and a 180-day media placement schedule. (Taxes and fees may apply.)
  • Comcast Business Technology Makeover: Computer equipment, Internet, voice, and cybersecurity services for 12 months. (Taxes and fees may apply.)

Previous Comcast RISE recipients in the Houston area include Mala Sichuan Bistro, LAMIK Beauty, and 132 Design.
