Sisters Network® Inc. hosts its 14th Annual Stop the Silence 5K Walk/Run in downtown Houston.

Sisters Network® Inc. (SNI), the nation’s premier Black breast cancer survivor organization, is gearing up to host its 14th Annual Stop the Silence 5K Walk/Run. This significant event, slated during National Minority Health Month, has garnered sponsorship from industry leaders including Pfizer, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Eisai, Lilly, Merck, Natrelle, and HEB. The event is also supported by media partners Fox 26, Majic Radio One, DMars, Forward Times, Salt and Pepper Gang, and Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine.

The event is expected to draw over 3,000 participants to downtown Houston on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Participants will walk or run in honor, memory, support, or celebration of family members who have battled breast cancer. Registration and donations are open at www.stopthesilencewalk.org, with individual registration at $45.00 and team registration at $450.00.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the SNI Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), which offers financial assistance to breast cancer survivors and provides mammograms for underinsured or underserved women both in Houston and across the country. Since its establishment in 2006, BCAP has made a substantial impact, assisting thousands of women and providing nearly $1.4 million in financial support and free mammogram/ultrasound screenings.
