Rainbow PUSH Coalition Celebrates the Formal Installation of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III as President and CEO

Dallas, TX - On February 1, 2024, the Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas will witness the official installation of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III as the President and CEO of Rainbow PUSH Coalition. The sold-out event, six months after the announcement of Dr. Haynes as Rev. Jesse Jackson’s successor, will gather VIP participants and attendees from across the country, including notable figures like Roland Martin, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Tashara Parker as the mistress of ceremonies.
The following day, on February 2, 2024, the President’s Inaugural Social Justice Conference will take place at Paul Quinn College. Rev. Jesse Jackson is expected to attend both the installation and conference. The conference, presented by Dallas-based black-owned production company Sound Design Studios, emphasizes the ongoing fight for social justice and the collective effort required for meaningful change. Tickets, priced at $75 per person, include two meals throughout the day.
The President’s Inaugural Social Justice Conference will feature renowned speakers such as Tamika Mallory, Pastor Mike McBride, Rev. Dr. Brianna K. Parker, Rev. Tisha Dixon Williams, Mrs. Jennifer Jones Austin, Former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., and Dr. Frederick D. Haynes himself. Sessions include the Social Justice Master Class, Creating Economic Structures that are Just, the Disinherited Conference, and Curriculum for the 2024 Election.
Dr. Haynes, a 2016 inductee to the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame, brings a national agenda to address issues related to courts, the end of affirmative action, economic justice, educational equity, and the impact of climate change on communities of color. As a "drum major for justice," Dr. Haynes is renowned for his ministry and leadership, focusing on the intersections of faith and justice. His numerous awards and honors reflect his dedication to community transformation and social consciousness.
The significance of Dallas in Dr. Haynes' life and service is highlighted by the location of the installation and conference. As the senior pastor of Friendship-West Baptist Church, a megachurch with over 13,000 members, and a key figure in the Dallas community, Dr. Haynes continues to impact lives and champion social change.
