Broadway’s smash-hit musical Some Like It Hot is coming to the Hobby Center for one week only, March 24–29, 2026.

Houston audiences are in for a treat this spring as Some Like It Hot, the award-winning Broadway sensation, arrives at the Hobby Center for a limited one-week engagement, March 24–29, 2026. Single tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, December 5 at 10 a.m. as part of the Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center 2025–2026 Season.

Fresh off a celebrated Broadway run, Some Like It Hot has been hailed as a “Super-Sized, All-Out Song-And-Dance Spectacular!” and continues to charm audiences with its dazzling choreography, big laughs, and unforgettable score. Set during Prohibition in Chicago, the musical follows two musicians who witness a mob hit and must skip town fast—with gangsters close behind. Their escape sends them on a cross-country train ride filled with unexpected twists and a joyous celebration of identity, friendship, and new beginnings.

The musical earned more theater awards than any show in its season, including Best Musical honors from the Drama Desk, The Drama League, and the Outer Critics Circle. Critics nationwide have praised the production, with Deadline calling it “a tap-dancing, razzle-dazzling embrace of everything you love about musical theater.”

Some Like It Hot features a book by Matthew López and Amber Ruffin, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw. The show is based on the iconic MGM film long celebrated as one of the “Funniest American Movies of All Time.”

The creative team includes Scott Pask (sets), Gregg Barnes (costumes), Natasha Katz (lighting), Brian Ronan (sound), and an extensive roster of acclaimed designers and music supervisors bringing the production to life. The North American tour is produced by The Shubert Organization and Neil Meron, with additional producing partners from across the Broadway community.

Performances run Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Hobby Center, 800 Bagby Street.

Tickets start at $55 and are available online at TheHobbyCenter.org or BroadwayAtTheHobbyCenter.com, and in person at the Hobby Center Box Office. Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more by calling (888) 451-5986 or emailing Houston.groups@broadwayacrossamerica.com.
