HCA Houston Healthcare West is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. William (Dan) Porter as its new Chief Medical Officer (CMO), effective March 17.

 

A Certified Physician Executive with 28 years of distinguished service in the United States Army, Dr. Porter brings extensive leadership experience in strategic planning, policy development, and risk mitigation.

“Dr. Porter’s expertise will be instrumental in advancing our healthcare initiatives and reinforcing our commitment to patient safety,” said Megan Marietta, CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare West.


William (Dan) Porter, M.D

 


Board-certified in Occupational & Environmental Medicine and Aerospace Medicine, Dr. Porter holds an MD from the Uniformed Services University and an MPH from Johns Hopkins University. He has also contributed to medical research and serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Military Medicine at Texas A&M University School of Medicine.
