Thirty years after opening its first restaurant in Baton Rouge, Raising Cane’s is celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving back to animal welfare organizations throughout the Houston area.

Beginning Aug. 27, participating Raising Cane’s restaurants in Houston will donate the net proceeds from every limited-edition 30th Birthday Plush Puppy sold to 15 local animal welfare organizations.
The collectible plush puppy will be available for $12.99 plus tax at participating Raising Cane’s restaurants and online at RaisingCanesGear.com from Aug. 27 through Sept. 22, while supplies last. The plush features a ’90s-inspired design that pays tribute to the year the restaurant company opened its first location in 1996.
The Houston-area organizations benefiting from the campaign include Abandoned Animal Rescue, A New Dawn, Angleton Animal Services Adoption Center, Bay Area Pet Adoptions, Citizens for Animal Protection, Fort Bend PAWS, FYIMS Inc. Friends for Life, Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue, Houston Humane Society, Jennis’s Ranch, Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter, Second Chance Pets, Special Pals Incorporated, Three Little Pitties and Twylas Friends Rescue.

The anniversary campaign reflects Raising Cane’s longstanding connection to animal welfare. Founder and owner Todd Graves named the company after his beloved yellow Labrador, Raising Cane, making support for animals part of the brand’s history from its beginning.
Since its founding, Raising Cane’s has grown from a single Baton Rouge restaurant to more than 1,000 locations worldwide. The company says it has donated nearly $10 million to hundreds of animal welfare organizations, supporting shelters, rescues and pet-focused nonprofits across the country.
The 30th Birthday Plush Puppy is part of a broader anniversary celebration. Raising Cane’s will also launch a collection of vintage-inspired apparel and hats on Aug. 27 through RaisingCanesGear.com. The merchandise will be available while supplies last.
For Houston-area customers, the anniversary campaign offers a way to mark three decades of Raising Cane’s while supporting organizations working to improve the lives of animals throughout the region.
