The wizarding world is set to return to downtown Houston this summer as the Harry Potter Film Concert Series makes its way back to Jones Hall with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Concert.

On June 26 and 27, 2026, the Houston Symphony will perform the full, spellbinding score from the fifth installment of the Harry Potter film series live, while the entire movie is projected in high-definition on a massive 40-foot screen. The event offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the film in an immersive format that blends cinema and live orchestral performance.

Created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and CineConcerts, the Harry Potter Film Concert Series is the only official global concert tour celebrating the beloved franchise. Since its world premiere in 2016, the series has drawn more than 3 million fans worldwide, with nearly 3,000 performances across 48 countries, cementing its place as one of the most successful film concert experiences ever produced.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix marks a turning point in the story, as the return of Lord Voldemort is denied by the Ministry of Magic, leading to the rise of new authority at Hogwarts and the formation of a student-led resistance. As Harry, Ron, and Hermione prepare for an impending wizarding war, audiences are taken through one of the darkest and most emotionally charged chapters of the series.

The film’s score, composed by Nicholas Hooper and nominated for a World Soundtrack Discovery Award, introduces new musical themes that reflect both the oppressive presence of Dolores Umbridge and Voldemort’s growing influence on Harry. Hooper’s use of experimental techniques and instruments, including Japanese Taiko drums, adds a deeper and more ominous tone to the story—elements that are brought vividly to life through live symphonic performance.

Tickets for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Concert go on sale January 7, 2026, and can be purchased through houstonsymphony.org, by phone or text at 713-224-7575, or in person at the Houston Symphony Patron Services Center on the Courtyard Level of Jones Hall.

For Houston-area fans of music, film, and fantasy, the event promises an unforgettable night where cinema, storytelling, and live orchestral artistry converge.
