A single mother of four adult children and a proud grandmother, Brisby’s journey to college completion didn’t follow a straight line—and that’s exactly what makes it inspiring. In 2018, Brisby took a major step forward by earning her GED and enrolling in an associate degree program at Houston City College (HCC).
