Kick Off the Weekend With Music and Rubber Ducks

The November festivities begin Friday, Nov. 6, with Beats on the Bayou, a free outdoor concert featuring Keith Jacobs + The B-Sides Band.

The concert takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bayou Park, offering an opportunity to enjoy live music along Buffalo Bayou. Guests can arrive early, grab dinner or drinks from an East River restaurant and settle in for an evening of music and community.

The fun continues Saturday, Nov. 7, with AFA’s eighth annual Bayou City Duck Race.

At 10 a.m., 6,000 rubber ducks will race along Buffalo Bayou in support of AFA’s work with young musicians across Greater Houston.

Guests can adopt ducks for $5 each for a chance to win prizes. The first 10 ducks to cross the finish line will earn prizes for their adopters, with additional Lucky Duck winners selected at random.

The event combines a playful spectacle with a fundraiser supporting young musicians, making it an outing that can entertain the entire family.
