Families and community members gathered at Kroger in Montgomery on September 12 for the 2026 Kroger Health & Wellness Festival, a free community event focused on fitness, nutrition education, wellness resources and family-friendly activities.

Held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kroger located at 20168 Eva St., the festival brought together Kroger Health leaders and wellness experts, pharmacists, registered dietitians, community leaders, local partners and residents.

The event featured activities designed to encourage healthier lifestyles while providing attendees with access to health and wellness information. Participants took part in a Color Run and fitness activations, while families also had opportunities to participate in wellness workshops and other activities throughout the day.

Live cooking demonstrations provided nutrition-focused programming, while better-for-you product sampling gave attendees an opportunity to explore products as part of the festival's emphasis on nutrition and wellness.

Attendees also had access to one-on-one conversations with Kroger pharmacists and registered dietitians. Nutrition education and wellness resources were available throughout the event, providing community members with information and support related to healthier lifestyles.

The Montgomery festival was part of the 2026 Kroger Wellness Tour, a nationwide initiative bringing health education, nutrition support and wellness resources directly to communities across the country.

Kroger's Health & Wellness Festival is designed to make health and wellness resources accessible in a setting that combines education, activities and community engagement. The festival's programming brought together fitness, nutrition and wellness resources in one location for families and other community members.

The event also provided visual and interactive opportunities, including the Color Run, fitness activities, live cooking demonstrations with a celebrity chef, product sampling stations, giveaways and other family-friendly activities.

Through the Health & Wellness Festival and the 2026 Kroger Wellness Tour, Kroger is continuing its focus on providing communities with access to nutrition education, health resources and wellness support.

The Montgomery event offered families and community members an opportunity to engage with those resources while taking part in activities centered on health, fitness and nutrition.
