MEDIA ADVISORY
Texas Southern University to Celebrate Partnerships and Scholarships During Annual President’s Tiger Ball
What: Texas Southern University will host the third annual President’s Tiger Ball – “Supporting Scholarships at TSU.” This black-tie affair, presented by the TSU Foundation Board of Trustees, is the University’s largest single fundraising event. This evening of entertainment,
inspiration, and fundraising will benefit TSU student scholarships and University programs. This year’s presenting sponsor is Challenge Office Products & Office Solutions.
Thousands of TSU students excel in their areas of study, but without the necessary funding they would not have the opportunity to pursue a college education. There will be a “Parade of Partners” to celebrate the generosity of the University’s corporate and community partners and the relationships that have been established and maintained in support of the vision, students and institution. During the ball, there will be a raffle drawing for a new luxury SUV.
Who: Dr. Mary Evans Sias, TSU Interim President; the Texas Southern University Ocean of Soul, and representatives from corporate, community and alumni sponsors
When: Saturday, April 27, 2024 (reception begins at 6 p.m., program begins at 7 p.m.)
Where: George R. Brown Convention Center (1001 Avenida De Las Americas), Ballroom C. Garage parking is available.
Media are encouraged to arrive prior to the reception. Media check-in will be located outside Ballroom C.
