Photography by Vicky Pink - On Thursday, March 28, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hilton Americas-Downtown for the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Luncheon & Business Expo. The Houston Hispanic is the largest Hispanic chamber in the country and the largest chamber of commerce in Houston. A sold-out audience of 1,500 attended the event and over 70 companies displayed their products and services during the expo. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn discussed taxes, immigration, jobs, energy, Latino engagement and the Republican Party. Marc Boom, The Methodist Hospital CEO, addressed health care and its impact on business, entrepreneurs and the Houston economy. Dr. Laura Murillo, President and CEO of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was the keynote speaker.
