Photography by Vicky Pink - On Friday, August 9, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Rice University as the National Black MBA Association, Inc. announced and kicked off its 35th Annual Conference and Exposition. On September 10-14 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX, The National Black MBA Association, Inc. hosts the 35th Annual Conference and Exposition. Highly regarded as one of the nation’s largest business and professional conferences and expositions, the annual event matches job seekers with opportunities for some of the country’s leading talent, NBMBAA members, and Fortune 500 corporations. With the theme “Courageous Leadership: Owning Your Own Success,” this year’s conference will offer attendees industry best practices to prepare, distinguish and position themselves for advancement in a global workforce. Many were in attendance for the kick off including Wayne Luckett, Kashif Movania, Terry Stringer, Samson Babalola, Teneshia Hospeter, Kandance Weems Norris, and Jesse Tyson, Interim President and CEO, NBMBAA.
