Photography by Roswitha Vogler - On Sunday, April 21, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts for the 2013 Casa de Esperanza’s “Building Hope for Children” Gala. Now in its 31st year, Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos is a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect or the effects of HIV. The annual gala helps to continue the mission of the organization. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour, seated dinner, and a live auction conducted by ABC Ch. 13's Tom Koch. More than $1.1 million was raised at the affair. Some in attendance were Ed Smith, Juana Collins, Chrystal Hamilton Dorelien, Zenia Chapital, Joan Gilliland, and Roger Clemens.
