Photography Vicky Pink - On Saturday, April 27, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at The Westin, Memorial City for the University of Houston Alumni Association 59th Annual Awards Gala. Dr. Roger Birkman, Bill Worrell, Alonzo Cantu, Dr. Dennis Golden, Richard Rawson, Nick and Vicki Massad, and Loretta Devine were honored and received the Distinguished Alumni Award. Yuen-Yee Ma was recognized with the Outstanding Volunteer Award. Meredith Mitchell Dreiss recognized and honored with the Chair’s Award. Hon. Jacqueline Baly had the honor of being the first recipient of the Rising Star Award. Some in attendance were Dr. Elwyn Lee, Janelle Brown, Shannon Buggs, Janet Pruitt, Charlene Johnson, Tonya Jones, and Renu Khator.
