Photography by Vicky Pink - On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Rice Lofts as Senator Rodney Ellis held a fundraiser celebrating his 30 years of public service. Senator Ellis began his journey of service thirty years ago on November 8 when he was elected to Houston’s City Council. He then would move on to the Texas Senate in the early 1990s. He has had enjoyed his time fighting for his hometown. Some in attendance celebrating with him were his wife Licia Ellis, Stephen Brown, Dick Deguerin, Gene Locke, Vickie Vogel, Harris County Board of Education Trustee Erica Lee, State Rep. Ron Reynolds, Constable Ruben Davis, State Rep. Carol Alvardo, State Rep. Gene Wu, Rhonda Skillern Jones and Chris Bell.
