Photography by Roswitha Vogler On Saturday, August 9, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Angel Lane Community Center for their grand opening. The Houston Area Urban League was proud to announce the grand opening for the Angel Lane Community Center. The Angel Lane Community and its Center was built to serve the New Orleans families that survived Hurricane Katrina. The community center is a place where residents will gather for community events and meetings. A wide array of programs and service will also be made available to families from HAUL and HAUL's network of service delivery providers. These programs and services are designed to address barriers and build stronger families, develop healthy community and successful and independent residents. Some in attendance were HAUL CEO Judson Robinson, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Houston City Councilman Larry Green, and Marina Coryat.
