Photography by Jo-Carolyn Goode On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hofmeister residence for the YWCPA Circle of Friends Reception hosted by Judy Foston, Dr. John Stanford Jr., and Mr. & Mrs. John Hofmeister. The exclusive affair was a fundraiser to benefit the students at Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy. The first inaugural class of the academy will graduate on May 31, 2015 and the committee has the goal of making sure every girl graduates with a full scholarship. Some in attendance were Dr. Polly Sparks Turner, Caroline Fant, Christine Holland, Libby Chancy, Lecea Monik, Erica Carter, Rhonda Arnold, Judge Clarease Yates, Faye Bryant, Lucy Bremond, Karen Jackson, Mae Jemison, State Rep. Harold Dutton Paula McCann Harris, Dr. Andrew Houlihan, Chita Johnson, Shawntell McWilliams, Marianne Walker, Dr. Shirlette Milton, Joyce Jacquet, Willie Mae Evans, Connie Steward, Angela Joubert, Elnora Flewellen, Willie Mae Evans, Linda Knight Burkley, and Delesa O’Dell Thomas.
