Photography by Roswitha Vogler On Monday, December 15, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Houston City Hall Rotunda as Mayor Annise Parker announced the City of Houston’s participation in Comcast local media initiative, EveryBlock, to bring local news and information to users at the neighborhood. EveryBlock is an interactive local news and information site that makes it easy to stay connected with what’s happening in a user’s neighborhood. EveryBlock is a free online service and mobile app that aggregates more than 500 feeds, including news, reviews, events, blogs and other web content, civic data — like crime reports and 311 requests — as well as user-generated questions and comments. Some at the press conference were Mayor Annise Parker; Craig D’Agostini, Senior Director of Government Affairs, Comcast; and Houston City Councilmember Ed Gonzalez.
