Photography by Vicky Pink - On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Judson Robinson, Jr. Community Center as Houston Rockets’ James Harden made a surprise visit to the students at the Houston Parks and Recreation Department’s After School Enrichment Program at the center. Harden discussed the importance of a good education and his life as a professional basketball player.Harden shared his story of how he went from the streets of Compton, California, to attending college at Arizona State, then representing the United States at the 2012 Olympics, and now finally playing for the Houston Rockets. The 80 plus kids in attendance also got the opportunity to interact with Harden playing a little basketball. Foot Locker coordinated the event in support of Harden who has been starring in a series of critically acclaimed commercials for Foot Locker.
