Photography by Vicky Pink - On July 11, 12, and 15, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand as Mary Benton bid farewell to reporting for Local 2 KPRC. After 20 years of reporting news stories that touch the lives of Houstonians and those around the world, veteran reporter Mary Benton is putting down her mic to start a new chapter in her life. Many friends and colleagues that Mary has interacted with over the years came out to her many celebrations to wish her well. Some in attendance were Roseann Rogers, Deborah Duncan, Bill Balleza, Frank Billingsley, Khambrel Marshall, Dominique Sachse, Chester Pitts, Rachel McNeil, Phil Archer, Isiah Carey, Jerome Solomon, Amy Davis, Bun B, Melanie Lawson, Cindy George, Nakia Cooper, Ashley Small, Carl Davis, Francis Page Jr., Mayor Annise Parker, City Councilmen Dwight Boykins and Larry Green.
