On Saturday, March 29, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Sunnyside Park for the South Central Sportz's 13th Annual Baseball Opening Day. Youth ages 4-14 participated in the opening ceremonies for the Spring Baseball Season. Featured at the event was the 9th Annual Health, Education, Science Fair & Carnival hosted by the Port City Chapter of the Links, Inc. Over 500 participants enjoyed Rock Climbing, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Face Painting, Games, Puppet shows, Science Fair Projects, FREE Summer Camp and Health Education Booths; as well as health screening booths. The event was the results of a partnership between H-E-B, The Houston Astros, Schlumberger, A-Rocket Moving, City Council Member Dwight Boykins, Constable May Walker, South Central Sportz, and Port City Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
