Photography by Vicky Pink On Saturday, October 1, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts for the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Gala. In appreciation and celebration of the city's top Hispanic entrepreneurs and executives, the Chamber hosts the annual affair to recognize the efforts and support of these various individuals. Those being honored this year were Dr. Stephen Klineberg with the Chairman’s Award; Benny Agosto Jr. with the Hispanic Male Executive of the Year Award; and Maria Claudia with the Hispanic Female Executive of the Year Award. Award finalists included Frank Reyes, Maximo Tejeda, Evelyn Fletcher, Regina Garcia, Alexandra Garcia, and Henry Riojas. Some in attendance were emcee Ron Trevino, H-E-B’s Armando Perez, HHCC’a President & CEO Dr. Laura Murillo, Mario Diaz, Deavra Daughtry, City Councilman Jack Christie, Rhonda Arnold, and Carlecia Wright.
