Photography by Vicky Pink On Friday, October 3, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Luby’s Cafeteria for the press conference on the status of comprehensive immigration reform. Congressman Al Green along with special guest Illinois Congressman Luis Gutierrez discussed their efforts to raise awareness for the plight of the immigrant community and current status of comprehensive immigration reform in the House of Representatives. Preceding the press conference, Congressman Al Green hosted his Annual Labor Breakfast for labor leaders to update them on legislation in D.C. pertaining to labor and the minimum wage. State Senator Sylvia Garcia and State Rep. Ron Reynolds were also in attendance at the press conference.
