Photography by Vicky Pink On Friday, April 10, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at The Junior League of Houston for Change Happens! 8th Annual Spring Breakfast “Planting Dreams Harvesting Hope.” This yearly event is a fundraiser for Change Happens! so they may continue to make impact on the community through their various programs and opportunities. Regina and Albert Mellinger of Primary Services chaired this year’s breakfast that honored Irvin Ashford, Jr. of Comerica Bank with the Community Hero Award. Cynthia Cisneros emceed the event that featured program participants Pastor Kenneth Stroman, Marian Cabanillas, Ashley Hart, and Change Happens! founder Rev. Leslie Smith. Others in attendance were Vanessa Reed, City Councilman Dwight Boykins, Kim Roxie, June Marsh, Carl Kidd, Janette Cosley, Marina Coryat, Bryce Kennard, Dr. Elwyn Lee, and Courtney White.
