Photography by Vicky Pink - On Monday, June 8, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Syrian American Club Inn and Rice University as Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee hosted Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson. Both participated in a roundtable discussion on youth engagement on countering violent extremism. The roundtable was a rare opportunity to engage in an open dialogue with the Secretary Jeh Johnson about important issues affecting the community, including immigration, civil rights and civil liberties and violent radicalism. He also gave a presentation on border security. Some in attendance were Carl Davis, Pastor Joe Samuel Ratcliff, and Gordon Quan.
