Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, October 31, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Omni Hotel for the Fresh Spirit Wellness for Women, Inc. Legacy Awards and Gospel Concert. The signature fundraising gala benefited survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Yvette Hines, Toby Myers, Shirley Strawberry, Connie Rankin, Nelvin Adriatico, Kathryn Grinan, and Duval Mitchell were presented in celebration of overcoming abuse and/or for working to empower women and raise awareness. The star lineup of entertainment included Joe Carmouche, Small Fire, Shirley Strawberry, Karen Clark-Sheard, Wess Morgan, Gregory Saxman Daniels, and Kiland & Band. Some in attendance were Dr. Conte Terrell, Barbara Hudson, Porsha Daniels, Sylvia Rodriquez, Allen Helfman, Sylvia Phillips, Dr. LaRita Primrose, Dr. Craig Dohse, Sara Morgan, Mary Prince, Mary Morgan, Ciboney Rouge, and Dr. Carlin Barnes.
