Highlighting this game was a special performance by national recording artist Omi, who performed his hit single “Cheerleader” and his new song “Hula Hoop”. Omi’s performance was accompanied by a special dance performance by the Houston Texans Cheerleaders and 20 breast cancer survivors. Houston Rockets Center and eight-time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard was the Homefield Advantage Captain and led the Texans out of the tunnel. Four-time Grammy award winner Yolanda Adams sung the national anthem. First Lady of the Houston Texans and breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Janice McNair officiate the coin toss accompanied by members of the Houston Texans family who have also battled breast cancer. The Texans would lose the game to the Indianapolis Colts 27-20. This was Andre Johnson’s first game returning to Houston since the Texans released him. The Texans fell short in a 27-20 loss after a crucial interception by Brian Hoyer with 2:00 minutes left in the game. After a short week of football, the team gets a 10 day rest before traveling to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars.
