Photography by Bobby Hall - On Saturday, October 17, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Commerce St. Artists’ Warehouse for Jaided325 Open House and Breast Cancer SHERO event. The vintage and chic boutique allowed attendees to sip, shop and socialize while being educated about a disease that afflicts many across the globe. The night was filled with purpose, honoring women who suffered from breast cancer and the caregivers who stand by their side. Breast cancer survivor Serbino Sandifer-Walker; a wife, mother and journalism professor at Texas Southern University, was honored as the “SHERO” recipient of the night. To aid in research, Jaided325 collection founder, Jai Jones, presented a $500 donation to the Susan G. Komen-Houston Foundation, the benefactor of the event. Some in attendance were Nakia Cooper, Rebecca Briscoe, members of Sister 2 Sistah, Necauje Turner, and Ashley Pickens.
