Photography by Jo-Carolyn Goode - On Saturday, September 26, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Red Elementary School for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Alpha Kappa Omega CPR Training event. Over 100 people, including 15 Girl Scouts from Troop #2310, from the community registered to learn skills to save a life. After having breakfast provided by Chick-Fil-A, participants were trained to do CPR and the Heimlich maneuver by representatives from Healthcare Essentials. American Heart Association representatives also passed out heart health information. Some in attendance were LaDonna Harris, Creaque Charles, Karen Aubrey, Angela Wright, Regina Carrington, Patricia Roberts and Dawn DuBose Randle.
