Photography by Vicky Pink - With the goals of educating, encouraging, and supporting the community the Houston Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Psi Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Office of Council Member Dwight Boykins hosted the 11th Annual Community Health Awareness Event. Knowing that African Americans still rank high on many health reports for devastating illnesses, the fair was held to make the community health advocates of their own wellbeing. Health screenings, educational information, and good food were offered. School supplies and hair styling services were given to children in grades K-6. Some in attendance were Ron Lockett, Dr. Adele Whittaker, Tiara Willis, Kim Hagger Warren, and Deshara Goss.
