Photography by Vicky Pink - The Ensemble Theatre kicked off its 40th anniversary season celebration with its annual celebrity black-tie gala to applaud artists, companies, and the individuals whose unparalleled support enables The Ensemble Theatre to be one of Houston’s most coveted cultural institutional treasures. Janiece Longoria and Paula McCann-Harris and John Rolfe served as honorary chair and gala co-chairs for the affair that also serves as the theatre’s most profitable and well-attended fundraiser. Actors Louis Gossett, Jr., Angela Robinson, and Harry Lenix were honored with Anna Maria Horsford, C. J. Emmons, Houston First Corporation, METRO, and Mildred and Willie Bright. Some in attendance were Janette L. Cosley, Eileen J. Morris, Mayor Sylvester Turner, Winell Herron, James Harris, Argentina James, Dr. George C. Wright, Dr. Austin Lane, Roslyn Bazelle, Ursula Hall, and Cindy George.
