Photography by Vicky Pink - It has been five years since Comcast introduced their Internet Essentials initiative that brings Internet access to low-income households. During a recent press conference, Comcast announced their five-year progress report. Special appearances were made by new national Internet Essentials spokesperson and Olympic champion Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Comcast Corporation Senior Executive Vice President and Mayor Sylvester Turner. Also in attendance were Bryce Kennard, Yolanda Green, Melinda Little, Ray Purser, Mimi McClure, Laura Mayorga, Michael Bybee, Leo Munoz, and Tiffany Payne.
