Photography by Vicky Pink - Mayor Sylvester Turner hosted over 100 Texas business, civic and education leaders at the Houston UNCF Mayor’s Luncheon. The fundraising event supported UNCF’s efforts in providing quality higher education for minority students. Dr. Michael L. Lomax, UNCF’s president and CEO, made opening remarks followed by Mayor Turner who delivered the keynote address. Some in attendance were Juanna Collins, Rod Paige, Terry Williams, Cary Yates, Kristyn Page, Pam Davis, Judson Robinson, Bryce Kennard, Goodwillie Pierre, Vanessa Reed, Karen Franklin, and Houston City Council Members Dwight Boykins, and Amanda Edwards.
