Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, January 30, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at George R. Brown Convention Center for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Black Heritage Committee 23rd Annual Western Gala. The annual affair ignites the start of rodeo season. Many gathered to help raise funds for scholarships and celebrate the African Americans community in Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Some in attendance were Terence Fontaine, Diedra Fontaine, Jerry Ward, Melinda Spaudling, Isiah Carey, Judge Fredericka Phillips, Adrian Garcia, Dallas Jones, Ursula Jones, Zoe Cadore, Wendy Armstrong, Jarvis Johnson, and Houston City Councilman Dwight Boykins.
