Photography by Vicky Pink - On Wednesday, February 3, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Change Happens! for a special award presentation. Rev. Leslie Smith, CEO of Change Happens! was honored with the 2016 Community Partner Award from the University of Houston. UH President Renu Khator presented the award recognizes people and businesses that contribute to improving the quality of life in the community. UH Vice President of Community Relations Elwyn Lee said the University has worked closely with Smith and Change Happens! for the past 25 years. Change Happens! helps to improve the lives of residents in the Third Ward with programs and services, they are able to touch over 100,000 lives each year.
