Photography by Vicky Pink - On Monday, January 4, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at City Hall for the convening of the first meeting of the 2016 Houston City Council. As soon as the official inauguration ceremony ended, Mayor Turner and Houston City Council got to work at their first meeting. On the agenda was the appointment of Ellen Cohen as Mayor Pro Tem and Jerry Davis as Vice Mayor Pro Tem. Mayor Turner ended the meeting challenging council members to represent their districts and people as a whole. After the adjournment of the meeting, Mayor Turner held his first press conference as Mayor of Houston.
