Photography by Vicky Pink - On Thursday, January 7, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Rustic Oaks as Key PAC hosted a private reception and discussion with Dr. Ivory Toldson, the director for the White House initiative on Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Key PAC was joined by Presidents, board members and special guests from 10 HBCU alumni associations which included Spelman, Morehouse, Howard, Hampton, Fisk, Florida A&M, Prairie View, Jackson State, Southern University, and Texas Southern Universities. The reception included a meal provided by Rustic Oaks and an engaging dialogue on the State of HBCUs, the importance of alumni being engaged in the political process, and solutions to help maintain the status and achievements of these beloved institutions. Some in attendance were Zoe Cadore, Bryon Lundry, and LaRence Snowden.
